Do you feel concerned when faced with the pressing issue of the day be it new European or UK government legislation and regulations, food scares or rising costs? Could you benefit from sharing your concerns?
abim members meet four times each year to discuss current issues impacting on the industry and agree common action to influence outcomes. Membership means you can find out what others are doing and get answers from those whose job it is to know and advise.
abim also gives members the opportunity to influence developments at a European level through our membership of fedima. Members have the opportunity to network with European colleagues at the Annual General Assembly, hosted by a different association each year.
“abim membership keeps us connected to the heart of our industry. It gives us a forum to share challenges, shape solutions, and stay aligned on the issues that matter. Through abim, we also gain access to the FDF and fedima, which ensures our voice is heard at both UK and European level. It means we’re not only well-informed, but also able to influence and respond to what’s coming down the line.”
James Cawthorne, Managing Director, British Bakels
“As President of abim, I am proud to represent an organisation that plays such a vital role in supporting the UK bakery ingredients industry. abim brings together manufacturers to share knowledge, promote best practices and ensure our sector continues to innovate and grow. I am passionate about fostering collaboration across our industry, and am privileged to work alongside so many dedicated professionals within our membership, with one common aim; to be a strong, supportive voice for the wider baking community.
I would encourage anyone interested in joining abim to get in touch to discuss how we can add value to your business and allow it to thrive.”
David Amos, Managing Director, Zeelandia UK
“I highly recommend abim membership to any eligible manufacturer in our sector. abim brings together the leading UK bakery ingredient manufacturers, offering a wealth of knowledge and experience, as well as unrivalled networking opportunities. Through abim, we are able to discuss industry matters collectively, including technical developments and proposed legislative changes that could impact our business or products. The association also enables us to provide valuable input and challenge—via abim, FDF, and fedima—to government, the EU, and other relevant bodies. In my experience, being part of abim is a significant advantage for any manufacturer in this field.”
