Every year, abim offers a scholarship or training opportunity to students of, and individuals employed within, the baking industry. The association continues its joint awards programme with The Worshipful Company of Bakers (WCB).

In 2024, this included a Bursary Course in bakery and patisserie at Richemont Centre of Excellence in Lucerne.

One place on this Bursary Course was sponsored by abim.

Short Courses 2026

The Worshipful Company of Bakers have announced details of their first course for 2026, which will run from 23-28th August at the School of Artisan Food, Nottinghamshire. The course is designed specifically for bakers who have been working in commercial bakeries for at least 3 years, in order to provide a valuable opportunity for refreshing and enhancing skills.  More details and the application form can be found here.
